· Excessive play or movement in the auto lift swing arm

We carry kits for all models. Retro-fit kits are available for older lifts not originally fitted with restraints. We have gear kits available, which contain only the gears (half-moon and locking gears for newer models, and plunger and arm rod for older models), and we also keep inventory of full kits, which include rings and springs, as well.

Because lifts vary in scope of reach and extension when the lock is engaged, our arm rods are threaded for the length of the arm. This extra feature gives the operator multiple points at which to engage the locking mechanism, and therefore more versatility in lift configuration when repairing the vehicle.
Our restraint gear for newer lifts consists of a beveled moon gear design for improved locking ability. The gear, when properly installed and in good working condition, allows the auto lift swing arms to move into the position the operator chooses and then positively engages and locks when the arm is in place. Mechanics deserve to feel secure as they work on a vehicle, and ensuring arms don’t shift as employees stand beneath them is a small repair to make for peace of mind.
