Problems:

  1. Auto lift “chatters” or is noisy when lowering
  2. Auto lift will not lower completely to floor height
  3. Auto lift does not stay in place at height
  4. Auto lift “jumps” while raising or lowering

Causes:

  1. Bearing wear causes piston “wobble”.
  2. Foreign object in equalizer box
  3. Equalizer frame is distorted
  4. Leak in air valve
  5. Low oil levels

Solutions:

  1. Replace bearing/seal assembly
  2. Clean debris from equalization box
  3. Repair or replace equalization frame assembly
  4. Check reservoir for proper oil level and fluid
  5. Replace air and oil valves
